This utility installs the VAIO Edit Components software upgrade and provides the following benefits:

- Provides the High Quality SD to HD upconversion feature
- Supports exporting Click to Disc Editor project files
- Supports exporting subtitle files for TMPGEnc DVD Author 3 together with MPEG2 export using TMPGEnc encoder (TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress and TMPGEnc DVD Author 3 required)
- Improves functionality and performance for AVCHD file import and export (AVC/H.264 license required)
- Supports editing HDV files recorded with the professional HVR-V1 camcorder using the PROG.SCAN mode (feature only available with Premiere Pro)
- Supports editing recorded HDV/AVCHD files using x.v.Color™ mode with supported Handycam® camcorders
- Supports importing and exporting MPEG2 video files that use Dolby® Digital technology (Dolby Digital license required)
- Provides support for Microsoft® Windows Vista® SP2 (Service Pack 2)
- Provides support for exporting using AVCHD high speed software encoding
- Improves upconversion from High Quality SD to HD and provides support for 1920x1080 frame size
- Resolves an issue when using Premiere Elements 7, video drawing may become black during specific video transitions or when the video effect is applied to a DV-AVI clip
