When upgrading to the Windows XP Home Edition operating system, the computer may not be correctly recognized by the VAIO PC Companion CD. If this occurs, the error "This program is not designed to run on this computer model" will be displayed. This utility will update the system software so the VAIO PC Companion CD correctly recognizes the computer and installs the Sony updates for the Windows XP operating system.
