After upgrading with the Sony VAIO Companion CD for the Microsoft® Windows® Me operating system, some unnecessary legacy (old) files may be left on the system. These leftover files can interfere with the device driver installation for the Sony i.LINK (IEEE 1394) hardware and prevent video from being exported from the DVgate™ Motion application. This utility will resolve this issue by removing the unnecessary files, which then allows the correct drivers to install.
